How to obtain Vietnam visa at Vietnam Embassy in South Africa

Getting a visa via embassy is the traditional way to obtain a Vietnam entry visa. However, the procedure to obtain it is quite different from embassy to embassy. In case you wish to handle it with the Vietnam embassy in South Africa, the following guide may be of some help.

1. Ways to apply

Embassy of Vietnam in South Africa accepts visa applications in person, by mail or through an authorized representative (such as a courier with a letter of authorization) addressed to 87 Brooks street, Brooklyn, Pretoria 0181.

2. Time to apply

The application can be made up to 1 year prior to arrival date.

3. Processing time

The processing time is five (05) working days since the Embassy receives the complete application documents. However, RUSH service can be requested for 02 working days or less.

4. Required documents:

Required documents for Visa application include:

  • Completed visa application form (downloaded from website of the embassy)
  • Original passport (with 6 months validity from date of return)
  • 01 (one) ID photo (colour)
  • flight booking and
  • Proof of payment for visa fee

5. Visa fee
